Sal & Co. need to trim down the catalog to make room for some exciting new tools for next year! The ones are that are in bold are the one I will really miss the most, some great designs from the minds of Sal & Ed Schempp

Caly 3 G-10

Some are really surprising like the G-10 Caly 3 (Picture above) which is a really smooth utilitarian blade with really great potential. I dont own one and dont really have any drive to go out and get one simply because the Caly 3 Carbon Fiber & ZDP-189 is still in production and will remain in the line up for 2010 ( Confirmed here ). But its definitely a shocker and down the road will sorely be missed. Hopefully the Caly 3 will come back with different scales and a screw construction (instead of evil pins).

Spyderco Barong

This knife is in my opinion one of the most forward thinking folders of recent times. Its got a crazy comfortable foliage grind G-10 grips with a killer forward balance (add 20cm to the blade and you have a natural born chopper!) . Everything about this knife screams utilitarian. Awesome dicer, cutter and slicer from cardboard to food preparation in the kitchen. And as Nutnfancy so eloquently said in his youtube review its also a killer tactical knife. I just know that in 1 or 2 years this knife will be a grail for alot of Spydie fanatics. Hopefully Sal will decide to resurrect it in a later sprint run (Blaze orange G-10 grips? :D ). Going to write up a post in a few days on the future Spyderco’s that we know (for a fact) are coming soon.

A+

A very interesting info, thanx. May I translate this topic to Russian for my knife blog?
